BRIGG BAR SETS AGE VERIFICATION POLICY

Young adults wishing to get served at a Brigg town centre bar must take "ID" with them to show they have attained the legal drinking age - 18. For bar staff will need to see documentary proof.
Under the heading 'To Determine An Age Verification Policy for the Consumption of Alcohol' Brigg Town Council has agreed that 25 will be the proof-of-age benchmark operating at the Angel Suite when the lounge bar is in use.
At the latest Town Council meeting when this was discussed, Coun James Truepenny suggested that people hiring the Angel for functions could inform guests in advance about the verification policy.
Coun Chris Dyson considered that 21, rather than 25, should be the age requirement.
A passport is considered suitable "ID" for proving someone's age.
