The weather was perfect for the Brigg Christmas Farmers' Market 2016 held yesterday - Saturday, December 17.
This helped boost the attendance, and it proved a busy time for those manning the farmers' market stalls and those on the adjoining Saturday general market, which spread from the Market Place into Wrawby Street.
The Brigg Christmas tradition of recent years continued, with festive tunesplayed by ex-Town Mayor Coun James Truepenny and Ian Cawsey, the former Brigg & Goole MP, who took  their guitars along to the Bandstand to entertain passing shoppers (see picture below).
Ian still plays regular gigs with his band The Moggies.
Near the Wrawby Street entrance to St John's Church, the Salvation Army Band (pictured below) played Carols and collecting tins were in evidence, with shoppers' small change being donated and gratefully received.
