DECISION IMMINENT ON PLANNED NEW FOOD STORE NEAR BRIGG

A decision is expected tomorrow on plans to build a new neighbourhood store just a couple of miles from Brigg, creating new jobs.
North Lincolnshire Council's planning committee will consider the application from the  Lincolnshire Co-op when it meets on Wednesday, December 14 at the Scunthorpe Civic Centre, off Ashby Road.
The meeting starts at 2pm and is open to interested members of the public.
Lincolnshire Co-operative Ltd is seeking the go-ahead for the erection of a single-storey neighbourhood food store (Class A1 Use), the creation of a new vehicular and pedestrian access, car parking, external plant equipment landscaping and associated works on land off West Street, Scawby.
The planning committee - comprising elected councillors from across the district - may grant or refuse any application or may decide to make a site visit before reaching its decision at a later date.
The chairman of North Lincolnshire's planning committee is Coun Nigel Sherwood (Brigg & Wolds).
Other local applications to be considered at Wednesday's meeting include:
