MAJOR DIVERSION OF MOTORWAY TRAFFIC THROUGH BRIGG

Here's advance warning for motorists in Brigg to expect delays caused by a month-long diversion of motorway traffic through the town.
Highways England is planning to close the M180  eastbound and westbound between junctions 4 and 5 (Forest Pines-Barnetby Top) at various times between February 16 and March 16, 2017.
The diversionary route for all traffic will be through Wrawby, Brigg, Scawby Brook and Castlethorpe.
Whether this will involve night-time only closures and diversions - or longer periods - is not yet clear.

.....again highlighting Brigg's inherent weakness....one road in, one road out and one town centre bridge.....this is not just for a day, but for over 4 weeks....
.......Brigg will become dormant, angry and totally blocked..
Perhaps someone will realise that we need a second road and separate river crossing...
