Ken Harrison makes a decent point in his comment posted on our article about Grammar School Road and Springbank estate traffic congestion in Brigg. Our report referred to the new Atherton Way access route to Vale Academy and St Mary's School being useful but not offering a total network solution to these traffic issues.
That phrase reminds us of a pithy comment by Jeff Stelling - renowned anchorman of Saturday afternoon's Sky Sports live football show. The result of win in a non-league game promoted him to forecast: "There will be dancing in the streets of Total Network Solutions tonight!"
His tongue-in-cheek comment reflected how many football clubs have renamed themselves and/or their grounds to fit in with sponsors.
Credit where credit's due: Brigg Town FC has kept the traditional name, and still play at The Hawthorns.
