BRIGG POLICE STATION CLOSURE RUMOURS 'UNFOUNDED'

Humberside Police Chief Superintendent Darren Downs said: "Rumours that Brigg Police station is closing are totally unfounded. There is absolutely no need for a petition as the services provided to the public on the front desk at Brigg will remain exactly the same. 
"Any member of the public will still be able to walk in to report a crime or ask for advice as they can now. We have repeatedly said this over the last couple of months and our position has not changed. 
"Other areas of the station will be used in new ways, but the front desk will remain open. Not only will it remain open but there will actually be more officers based at Brigg in future."
