Brigg councillors are being asked to don the colour purple at meetings over coming weeks.
This is to pledge support for Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month, for which purple is the chosen colour.
At the Town Council's monthly meeting in the Angel Suite it was decided to back the national campaign.
Coun Rob Waltham suggested they pledged support on information boards, and hinted he might be looking to purchase some purple clothing.
Coun James Truepenny, the Deputy Town Mayor, agreed with that idea and felt strong backing should be given to the campaign.
Then Town Mayor Councillor Edward Arnott wondered whether North Lincolnshire Council might be able to add a purple filter to floodlighting on the Angel building.
