BRIGG FOLK ASKED TO HELP OUT AT CASTLE

Lincoln Castle is looking for local volunteers to help make sure visitors have the best experience possible, Lincolnshire County Council has informed Brigg Blog today.
On Sunday, November 30 the castle is holding a volunteer open day, which will be a chance for people to find out more about the Lincoln Castle Revealed project and how their support will help make the new-look attraction even more appealing.
Katy-Jayne Lintott, volunteer co-ordinator, said: "The castle has a strong volunteering tradition, with around 200 people currently helping out.
"There are a range of roles you can try – making our visitors feel welcome, volunteering behind the scenes, or even finding your inner actor as part of our new community drama company.
"The open day will be an opportunity for prospective volunteers to find out more about the project as a whole, and how volunteers will be at the forefront of all that we're doing.
"Current volunteers and members of staff will be talking about what they do, giving a taste of what life is like working at the castle."
The open day runs from 11am to 2pm, and light refreshments will be available. Further open days are being planned for January and February.
You'll also be able to find out more by visiting the castle's stall during the Lincoln Christmas Market or by contacting the castle on 01522 541173.
