Two Brigg applications are due to be decided by planners tomorrow (Wednesday, November 19).
Brian's DIY, in Wrawby Street, is seeking advertisement consent to display 11 signs.
North Lincolnshire Council planning staff say the main issues are whether the number of signs is appropriate and necessary in relation to the size and scale of the existing building, and whether the number, appearance and scale of the signs are appropriate in the conservation area.
Keigar Homes Ltd is asking for the removal of condition 25 of the planning permission granted in 2012, relating to the code for sustainable homes on land off Island Carr Road, Bridge Street.
Outline planning permission to build 60 dwellings on this site was approved subject to 37 conditions. Condition 25 required the submission of a scheme to demonstrate that the proposal would comply with Code Level 3 of the Code for Sustainable Homes.
The planning committee meeting tomorrow starts at 2pm at the Scunthorpe Civic Centre, off Ashby Road. It is open to interested members of the public.
The vast majority of planning applications are now decided by council officers. However, a small number are still dealt with by the planning committee of elected members from across the district, under the chairmanship of Coun Arthur Bunyan (Broughton).
