BRIGG MATTERS MAGAZINE SEEKS ASSISTANT EDITOR

BY KEN HARRISON, CHAIRMAN

The winter edition of the well-received, Brigg Matters magazine, should be available in the near future - hopefully, from next Friday - 21st.November.
The committee has been conscious for some time that, while the magazine's pictures are of good quality, the printing process has been variable and has not being doing the supporting photographs justice.
The editor, Emma Smith, had worked tirelessly and with the help of committee members, has sought to rectify this problem and, consequently, hopes that Brigg & district folk will appreciate the magazine's new and radical Winter issue image.
Brigg Matters is always on the look out for interesting articles of local focus. Should you have an event, happening, or an intriguing snippet, please contact the magazine - past copies and other information can be accessed from Home - Brigg Matters  ...
On a more routine basis, we are in need of a few more voluntary distributors - one is urgently required for Mill Lane, for example.  If you can help, a couple of hours, at most, every quarter, please contact Ian and/or Kate at 'Pastimes' a corner shop in the Market Place.
The whole of the Brigg Matters' team is voluntary - the magazine is non-profit making and its objective is to provide informative and interesting articles for the benefit of the local community.
Our aim is to ensure that every household in Brigg receives a copy - but Brigg has expanded over the years and there may be present and historical gaps in our distribution - we are currently re-examining Brigg Matters distribution patterns, but if you know of any 'blind spots', please let us know - thanks.
Finally, have you thought of joining the committee?  No special qualifications, or experience is necessary as it's always useful to have fresh ideas and a variety of  people to initiate and bounce suggestions about the magazine's contents, style and quality.
We are, however, very keen to attract someone to the role of Assistant Editor - someone who can work alongside Emma on such tasks as layout and creative designs for the magazine's advertisers.
