The annual meeting of the Brigg Town Business Partnership, held on Wednesday night in the upstairs function room at the Buttercross, gave an opportunity to reflect on the achievements of 2014 and to look forward to further successes next year - courtesy of chairman Malcolm Bailey.
The go-ahead partnership holds and supports many regular events in Brigg. And the members are not all shop proprietors, as some might imagine.
Estuary TV gave an interesting presentation, as did Judy from the Heritage Centre, and there was an in-depth police update from PC Jane Proud, who was deputising for Sgt Howard Garlick.
Chris Darlington managed to make re-drafting small print in the constitution a pleasurable task rather than the chore it could so easily have become, while Coun Chris Dyson did likewise with the nomination of officials. Light refreshments were served and enjoyed and a raffle held to help defray costs.
North Lincolnshire Council and Brigg Town Council were thanked for support given in various ways.
The attendance at the AGM was good and it didn't seem we'd been there two hours when the final business was conducted.
