Here’s a progress picture of building work on providing 24 self-contained retirement apartments (with communal facilities) at Tennyson Close, off Albert Street, Brigg, which involved knocking down the previous development (built in the 1970s) and starting afresh. Planning permission was granted to the Longhurst Group, of Boston, by North Lincolnshire Council.
Brigg Town Council said while not opposed in principle to the erection of retirement apartments with communal facilities to replace the existing dwellings at Tennyson Close, it did not support the design and site layout proposed “the footprint of which is far greater than the existing building on the same site.”
