WORKING TO GET BRIGG TOILETS BACK IN USE
Credit is due to North Lincolnshire Council for spending a penny or two in Brigg to have the roof repaired on the public conveniences at East Park, near the Tintab shelter.
Our pictures show contractors at work - the toilets having been closed on health and safety grounds since September due to a damaged and leaking roof.
A council spokesperson told Brigg Blog yesterday (Wednesday, December 18) it was hoped to reopen the facility in early January.
"We expect to finish the external work on the roof and remove the scaffolding in the week commencing 6 January (weather depending, of course), and then repairs to the interior ceiling of the men’s will be carried out," he explained.
Brigg Blog reckons that welcome news will come as a relief - for obvious reasons!
The town has another set of WCs, on Cary Lane, also provided by North Lincolnshire Council.
