ELECTIONS 2019: CAST YOUR VOTES IN BRIGG ON THURSDAY

People in Brigg and surrounding communities will be going to the polls on Thursday, May 2, 2019 - election day.
Voters in Brigg will be electing nine members to serve on our Town Council.
There is also an election to fill three Brigg & Wolds seats on North Lincolnshire Council, plus three seats for Ridge Ward (which includes Scawby & Hibaldstow) and two for Broughton & Appleby Ward.
Polling stations locally will be open between 7am and 10pm to you can cast your votes, if you wish to do so.
All results will be announced through North Lincolnshire Council, which oversees local elections. They are not expected to be revealed until Friday.
We gather that this year's count will take place in Scunthorpe. In the past we've watched votes being counted at the Ancholme Leisure Centre's Sports Hall in Scawby Brook.
It's an interesting procedure, showing democracy in action!
Brigg Blog is not political but will suggest it's important that electors take the trouble to vote in the town and unitary authority elections on May 2.
