Brigg Town Cricket Club players have a change coming up tomorrow (Saturday, June 1).
Rather than a traditional 45 overs a side game starting at 1.30pm, they will be playing a Supplementary Cup match from 2pm which involves fewer overs (30) per innings.
Brigg will be making a short trip to play Messingham 2nds at the village's Northfield Road ground.
This is the second year of the Lincolnshire County Cricket League's Supplementary Cup which proved popular with teams when introduced in 2018.
Brigg have been draw in Group B and have other games coming up this month against Haxey 2nds and Scunthorpe Town 3rds.
Brigg need to win their group to progress to the semi-final stage on Sunday, June 30.
The final has been arranged for Sunday, July 21 at Messingham.
In order to save time, Supplementary Cup games do not have the usual prolonged tea break nor the 'spread' usually provided. Just a drink and a light snack is taken.
