RIVER FESTIVAL TO ACCOMPANY THE MAY BRIGG FARMERS' MARKET

There's a river festival coming up in the town this weekend, operating at the same time as the monthly Brigg Farmers' Market.
Saturday, May 25 will see the Ancholme River Festival at the rowing club's Manley Gardens headquarters, just a short distance from Bridge Street.
It is being organised by Ancholme Rowing Club and Glanford & Scunthorpe Canoe Club.
Between 10am and 3pm you are welcome to try rowing, kayaking, canoeing, stand-up paddleboarding and other types of sport on the River Ancholme.
Booking in advance is NOT required, and although there's no charge a voluntary donation will be welcome - proceeds being donated to charity.
Refreshments will be available from the boathouse.
Meanwhile, from 9am to mid-afternoon, the farmers' market will offer a wide range of food and drink products in the Market Place, operating alongside the stalls of the general Saturday market.
North Lincolnshire Council, which operates our award-winning farmers' market, says live music will be a feature of this Saturday's, to celebrate national Love Your Local Market Fortnight.
With the usual FREE car parking available from the council, this all adds up to a very busy Saturday for the town with increased footfall which will benefit many businesses, including pubs and eateries.
