WHAT BINS TO PUT OUT FOR COLLECTION IN BRIGG THIS WEEK - NEW YEAR 2018

Despite there being a bank holiday, North Lincolnshire Council WILL be carrying out New Year refuse collections in Brigg this week and is asking householders to note there's a bank holiday change in place.
If you normally enjoy a Tuesday collection, here's what the council will be calling for on January 2.
It will be emptying your...

  • Green or black general waste bin.
  • Blue recycling box containing paper
  • Green recycling box containing cans, glass and aluminium foil.
  • Textile bags.
The collection in Brigg on Tuesday, January 9 will only involve your burgundy recyling bin containing plastic and cardboard items.
The next emptying of brown garden waste bins will take place on Tuesday, January 23.

Wot is confusing to some, Nige, is that NLC often refer to the Black (sometimes Green) bin as GREY....dead confusing when we get a choice of 3 colours for one wheelie....I've only got one general waste bin and now I'm not sure if it's black, or grey....life is hard!

One interesting feature of wheelie-bins is they have a decibel rating...something around 90bd.
I was around the Doncaster area and the bins were marked with a decibel sticker...all to do with the noise created when closing lid/wheeling them and it's association with non collections at unsociabld hours....on the Continent they have bin collections during the night!
