BRIGG HERITAGE CENTRE OPENS NEW EXHIBITION

A new exhibition is now open at Brigg Heritage Centre for people to visit.
It is called Signed, Sealed, Delivered - A Postal History of Brigg.
Go along to the centre, which is housed in the Angel building off the Market Place, and discover the fascinating history of Brigg's Post Offices, their Postmasters, postmarks and much more, from the 19th century through to 1970.
The exhibition is open to visitors on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, from 10am to 2pm, and on Saturdays from 10am to 3pm.
Our picture shows the old Brigg Post Office, on Bigby Street, which opened in the 1930s.
This building is still used for sorting and for parcels but the counter service moved to the back of Martin's shop, on Wrawby Street, some years ago.
