TRIBUTE BAND TO PLAY IN BRIGG THIS WEEK

A well-known tribute band will be playing live in Brigg this week.
All Mod Cons - pictured above - will be performing on Saturday, January 20 at Brigg Town Football Club's Hawthorns clubhouse.
The shows starts at 7pm and will continue until late in the evening, the organisers say.
The band, playing tunes made famous by The Jam, takes its name from one of Paul Weller and Co's albums, first heard in 1978. It included News of the World - familiar today as the theme tune of TV's satirical Mock the Week series.
Tickets - costing £5 - have been selling well ahead of this weekend's gig.
Get yours from the club - vehicular access off Wrawby Road, pedestrian  route off Hawthorn Avenue - or call 07887670523.
This tribute band has made previous appearances in Brigg. Our picture shows the boys performing at the Britannia Inn, on Wrawby Street, last September, and the band has also entertained at the Servicemen's Club, off Coney Court.
We should stress, perhaps, that Brigg has never been seen as a Town Called Malice!
