REFURB PLANS ANNOUNCED FOR BRIGG LANDMARK

One of the best-known landmarks in Brigg is in line for refurbishment.
We are talking about the grade two listed Monument war memorial - not far short of 100 years old - encircled by the A18 roundabout.
Listed building consent to clean the memorial to include re-gilding of memorial plaques and re-point exposed joints with lime-based mortar  is being sought by Brigg Town Council.
North Lincolnshire Council, as the local planning authority, will decide whether to approve the application, recently submitted.

Further details are expected to be revealed in the near future.
Our pictures of the Monument were taken on Remembrance Sunday 2017.
