BRIGG TOWN COUNCIL TO SET ANNUAL BUDGET & PRECEPT LEVY

Brigg Town Council is about to set its financial budget for the 2018/19 financial year (from April) and decide how much money will be required from local chargepayers.
The Town Council's precept forms a very small part of the overall council tax levied on households.

The  majority of the council tax goes to fund the requirements of North Lincolnshire Council and emergency services.
North Lincolnshire Council is the precepting authority - the one that  sends out the bills and collects the money.
Brigg Town Council's budget-setting will take place on Monday (January 22) as a part of the monthly meeting in the Angel Suite, which starts at 7.15pm.
