PRIORITY BRIGG STREETS TO GET NEW LIGHTS

Coun Rob Waltham has revealed the streets in Brigg that will be the next to get new LED lights under a programme of highway works by North Lincolnshire Council, of which he is the leader.
During his monthly report on unitary authority matters affecting Brigg, he told Brigg Town Council's June meeting that roads like Barnard Avenue and Bridge Street would be among the first to benefit.
They are both on the busy A18.
LED lights use much less electricity than the traditional type.
So the public purse will benefit.
A few years ago, some Brigg streets were used to test out the LED lighting.
They were well received.

LED streetlights are the way forward, glad to see the lights are on throughout the night and not like Lincolnshire Council that turn them off between 12am - 6am
