BRIGG SCHOOL REUNION & SOCIAL OPEN TO EX-PUPILS & STAFF

Hot on the heels of a school reunion in Brigg which hundreds of people read about on Brigg Blog comes another - this time aimed mainly at men, although ladies will be welcome to attend.
It will be held on Friday, June 30 at Sir John Nelthorpe School and later at JD Wetherspoon's White Horse pub/restaurant on Wrawby Street - the nearest watering hole.
The Briggensians' Association summer sports reunion will involve a friendly cricket match between a sixth form and talented pupils team under the guidance of Jon Taylor and an ex-pupils Old Boys' X1 led by Messrs Beacock and Richards - noted Brigg Town Cricket Club all-rounders.
Interested players are asked to meet on the school field at 5.30pm for a 6pm start.
Hopefully the weather will be kind.
If not we still expect that Part Two will go ahead at the pub!
The Briggensians' Association represents former pupils and staff of Sir John Nelthorpe School, Brigg Grammar, Brigg Girls' High and Brigg Sixth Form.
SJN was founded in 1976 when comprehensive education was introduced locally by Humberside County Council.
The annual cricket match between the School and the Old Boys was established well before we gained admission to the grammar school in 1967.
Few who support the fixture today went to the grammar and no-one wants the distinction of being the oldest player, though everthing comes to he who waits, as the saying goes!
