A RIDER TO BRIGG HORSE FAIR 2017: OTHER ATTRACTIONS TO ENJOY ON THE DAY

After people have spent a couple of hours watching the steeds being paraded and sold at Brigg Horse Fair 2017 from 9.30am on Saturday, August 5, there will be another event to take in just a few hundred yards from Station Road.
Abbey Village Care Home will be staging a summer fair in its expansive grounds off Wrawby Road, near the Monument war memorial.
This will run from 11am to 3pm and include live entertainment from Gill Hemmings, a barbecue, cake stall, hook a duck, name the teddy, raffle, tombola, clothes stall, hand-made gifts and kids' craft activities.
Proceeds from the fair will go to the residents' comfort fund.
Horse fair visitors on August 5 can also tour the Saturday general market stalls in the town centre and pop in to our niche shops and sample the  range of pubs and eateries..
The Horse Fair will start about 9.30am and continue well into the afternoon.
