Brigg Blog boarded a bus in Cary Lane - bound for Scunthorpe - early this week and tendered the usual £6.10p return fare, only to find that there's been a 20p increase in the cost of our ticket to ride.
This was the No 4 Hornsby service which goes to the steel town via Broughton and Ashby.
We don't begrudge paying a bit more for a service that's used by many of us in Brigg and district. And is valued by those who rely on public transport.
However, we must have missed the signs inside the buses which had been posted in the lead up to the rise.
That's what comes of spending too much time, with head down, reading newspapers and checking emails and websites on our 'smart' mobile phone!
