OBJECTION TO NEW BRIGG FLATS BEING BUILT
Brigg Town Council has lodged an objection to new flats being built.
Outline planning permission is being sought to erect two three-storey flats, with parking at ground floor level, on land to the south of West Terrace, which is off Bridge Street.
The Town Council is objecting to what it sees as 'overdevelopment' and says that "previous applications in the vicinity have been refused on the grounds of flood risk."
These views have been forwarded to North Lincolnshire Council which will decide the application in due course.
Information submitted to planners with the application says this housing development will greatly improve the visual amenity of the area, the land currently being used for parking.
The statement says the development will provide much-needed affordable housing.
