BRIGG OPERATIC SOCIETY'S AUTUMN SHOW 2019 TO ENTERTAIN AUDIENCES

Brigg Amateur Operatic Society's autumn 2019 production will be the popular musical Annie.
This well-known group, which was founded more than 100 years ago, previously put on shows at Brigg Corn Exchange (until its closure) and then the Vale of Ancholme School but later switched to the Plowright Theatre, on Laneham Street, Scunthorpe.
Performances of Annie will be held from Tuesday to Saturday, November 12 to 16. Use this link to book tickets for the show and find out more...
The Plowright Theatre is named after renowned stage and screen actress Dame Joan Plowright (Lady Olivier) who was born in Brigg and spent her early life, in the 1930s, in the family home on Central Square before moving to Scunthorpe. Her father was the editor of the Scunthorpe Star newspaper.
Many people from Brigg and surrounding villages attend the society's shows in Scunthorpe. There's a sizeable council-run car park close to the theatre on Laneham Street.

He played hockey for Brigg and football for Brigg Town.
