BRIGG BLOG ROUND-UP OF RECENT ELSHAM GOLF CLUB EVENTS

Many people from Brigg belong to nearby Elsham Golf Club, whose publicity officer Peter Thompson - well-known in the town - has kindly supplied Brigg Blog with illustrated reports from recent events. Our thanks are extended to him for the following updates...

Good weather has blessed the mid-summer matches and competitions at Elsham Golf Club. At the Ladies' Invitation Day, four pairs came in with 42 points but the winners on count back were Jane Evans and Margaret Quantrill.
The club’s B team has had a busy season of matches with only three so far being at home and six away. Of these nine matches four were won and four lost with one being drawn.
The Junior Section order of Merit has reached its half way point. Callum Bruce leads the way with 30 points closely followed by Callum Philips with 27 points.

The Junior Championship is on Sunday 15th September. Combining with a hectic schedule of matches, the seniors internal knock out competitions have reached the final stages.
The R.A.J. Trophy Senior Pairs final will feature Seniors 2019 captain Graham Evison and his partner Paul Farley against Mike Thirde and Alan Speight. The seniors' semi finals in the Jim Sparkes Trophy will see Russell Orr against Jim Cousins and Steve Chapman against Ray Mumby.
