TIME FOR ANOTHER LOOK AT BRIGG CROSSING PLACE?

Crossing the road - on foot - between Riverside Surgery and Tesco's car park, close to the petrol station, is a slow business at times.
Pedestrians need to take special care watching out for vehicles approaching in the nearside lane from the Cary Lane traffic lights.
From time to time, over a number of years, attention has been drawn to pedestrian issues near this location.
Now a new year is with us, is the time right for someone to see whether the situation can be improved?
We took this picture early on Sunday morning. When things are in full swing at the doctors' surgery and at the Tesco store there are many more cars in evidence on the entry road and also using the A18, seen here on the right.
