BRIGG 35-YEAR SCHOOL REUNION: ORGANISERS FROM AUSTRALIA CAN'T MAKE IT
Simon and Joanna Church - due to return to Brigg later this year for a Briggensian 35-Year School Reunion involving " The Class of 1982" - cannot now make it over to the UK as planned.
Simon, the former Brigg Town batsman and Sir John Nelthorpe School pupil, says: "Unfortunately, due to a number of unforeseen circumstances, it appears that Joanna Church and I will be unable to travel to England this summer and subsequently will not be able to attend /organise a 35-year school re-union.
"Apologies that it is now February (and it will soon be summer), but hopefully there is still enough time and interest with ex Briggensians to put together a gathering of the class of '82 and associated friends this July.
If all goes to plan, we aim to be in Lincolnshire in 2018 and I am obviously keen to catch up with as many people as possible at our 36-year school reunion.
"I do have a list of many contacts and ex students who have already indicated that they would like to meet up this July and obviously I am happy to help where I can."
NF ADDS: It's too early to say whether other students will go ahead with the reunion. More to follow later from Brigg Blog as things become clearer.
