Helen Cresswell, pictured, is looking to reintroduce an old sporting fixure in Brigg
She is asking former pupils of Sir John Nelthorpe School and Brigg Sixth Form whether they would support the return of the annual Briggensians' hockey fixture during September.
Friday 15th is the likely date, with a social get-together afterwards at the Yarborough Hunt pub, on Bridge Street.
It could be ladies/men's U25s v Over 25s, she suggests.

Helen hasn't mentioned  more senior hockey veterans in her post on Facebook, but we'd think that ex-pupils of Brigg Grammar and Brigg Girls' High School can be included, if they still feel fit enough to play 70 minutes. 
These two schools were succeeded by Sir John Nelthorpe School in September 1976 - that's approaching 41 years ago!
