PIP DROP-IN EVENT COMING UP IN BRIGG

PIP (Parents in Participation) are  an independent forum of volunteer parents and carers of children who have disabilities and/or special educational needs .
Our aim is to support parents and carers and their children by giving them an opportunity to share ideas and try to make life a less complicated journey.  We are able to offer a friendly face, a listening ear, support and a voice to parents and carers in North Lincolnshire.
As a volunteer group our wish is to have more forum members and volunteers so we reach more of the community and to have more regular communication. More volunteers and forum members would help us to keep in touch with more news and to attend or provide more events for the benefit of all parents and carers of children who have disabilities and or special educational needs.
If you feel you would like to be a member or volunteer come and talk to us. We would really love to see you at the forthcoming SEND event that we are delighted to be co producing with the Local Authority.
Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Event at the Learning Development Centre, Enderby Road, Scunthorpe on Friday November 18th 2016 10.00 am to 2.30 pm.
Following on from the success of last year we aim to make this an annual event. This year we will give you an opportunity to share ideas and find out more about how we are improving outcomes for  our children and young people with disabilities by inviting you to attend the free event,. You will be able to join in workshops, listen to guest speakers, ask questions within the marketplace, learn more about what is happening for parents and carers, gather information, learn more about the Local Offer and most importantly we will be able to listen to your views and recommendations for giving support and guidance to  parents, carers and children with disabilities in North Lincolnshire.
