BRIGG LINE TRAIN TRAVEL 'TO BE CHEAPER'

We are hearing suggestions that some passenger train fares on the railway line serving Brigg are to be reduced from the middle of next month.
This is the Saturdays-only service between Cleethorpes and Sheffield, with six trains calling at Brigg station.
Rail campaigner Paul Johnson has suggested on Twitter that a Retford to Brigg return ticket will go down from £10.90p to  £9.20p, while it will also be cheaper for travellers from Worksop to use the Brigg line.
We have seen no information so far about whether fares from Brigg station will go down.
