August Bank Holiday weekend is coming up and Brigg Blog expects that to mean a boost in takings for town centre pubs, especially on Saturday and Sunday.
Monday might not be quite so successful, as many people will be thinking about having to get up early for work the following morning.
Much, of course, will depend on the weather.
With a bank holiday coming up, we might have expected a bit of a lull last night as people saved up their cash for next weekend.
But there was no indication of this at the Yarborough Hunt, which was really busy last night (Saturday), from early in the evening.
Later, having spent half-an-hour at the Dying Gladiator, we stopped off in the Britannia Inn, where they'd had a vocalist providing live entertainment a little earlier.
Remember that the Brit is now running Sunday and Wednesday night quizzes.
