The Scunthorpe & District Branch of CAMRA - the Campaign for Real Ale - has named The Brit as its pub of the season for Spring 2016.
A framed certificate has been presented by representatives of the branch and is now on display behind the bar.
Calvin Dow, who also runs the award-winning Castle Inn at Skipton, took over the Brit and reopened it, following refurbishment, as a pub. Since then a restaurant facility has been added.
Tabatha Johnson is mine host/landlady at the popular venue.
