FREE ADVICE AVAILABLE TO BRIGG TEENAGERS ABOUT THEIR FUTURE

Finishing school or college soon and not sure what route to take?
School and college leavers across North Lincolnshire who are unsure are invited to attend information and advice sessions at the Action Station, Cole Street, Scunthorpe, on 1, 2 and 3 June.
If you are just about to finish school or college and are still undecided on what you want to do next, the Action Station will be able to help. 
Information days are being held between 10am and 3pm on:

• Wednesday 1 June: Guidance teams from John Leggott College, North Lindsey College, North Lincolnshire Careers, Information and Guidance team and Humber UTC will be there to advise on next step opportunities. Including a range of courses and apprenticeships.
• Thursday 2 June:  Local training providers will be offering apprenticeship and traineeship opportunities.
• Friday 3 June: Get CV and job application advice.

Drop-in in to any of the events and plan the best route for you.
Coun Rob Waltham, from Brigg, Deputy Leader & Cabinet Member for Business, Innovation, Employment and Skills, said: “With many young people across North Lincolnshire coming to the end of their last year at school or college, we wanted to make sure support was available for them. Some may not have decided what path they want to take after their studies. The Action Station will be on hand to offer advice and guidance, and provide information on their options. Whether that is carrying on their education, taking up an apprenticeship or carrying out training courses – there will be plenty of support available.
“Don’t worry if you are still undecided what you want to do next, come along to the information days and find out more information on what options are available.”
The Action Station opened in October 2015 and is a one-stop shop for skills and employment. Since it opened over 1,500 people have benefited from the services on offer.
