HOW NEW ALDI STORE PROPOSED FOR BRIGG WILL LOOK

Major retailer Aldi has revealed this striking artist’s impression of how its proposed new store near the A18 in Brigg will look.
It is earmarked for a site on Bridge Street, close to Cake Mill Bridge, and opposite the Island Carr Industrial Estate.
Aldi will be consulting the public next week during a session in the Angel Suite.
A spokesperson confirmed that the award-winning discount retailer would be seeking the views of the local community for a new neighbourhood store to be located on Bridge Street.
It hopes the community supports the proposals, feeling a new Aldi in Brigg would be a welcome addition, bringing quality produce at discount prices.
Aldi has made a commitment to local recruitment and further details will be made known at the consultation.
To express your views on the proposals, call at the Angel Suite on Thursday, May 26,  between 2pm and 7pm. Alternatively, email aldiconsultation@planningpotential.co.uk or call 0800 978  8968.

The impression distorts the distance to the humped bridge....closer in reality...
Creates and concentrates another poor-sighted junction - ie Leisure centre + Wateredge junctions on one side...Island Carr + Aldi on other...with bridge blocking sight from one junction pair to the other.
Sort LC junction out...ie divert access/exit via re-routing over old sugar club site..
If Aldi built...ensure that their new road is not exclusively Aldi..construct to take into account potential future development in area..we don't want to compound problem by having to build additional junctions to suit such development.
