DETACHED PROPERTY PLANNED IN BRIGG REFUSED APPROVAL
North Lincolnshire Council has refused to grant planning permission to erect a new detached dwelling in Brigg.
An application had been submitted seeking approval to build at 1 Bramble Way - on the edge of the Newlands estate.
Giving its reasons for refusing consent, the council told the applicants: "The erection of a dwelling of this size, on this limited, irregular shaped plot, with minimal separation distances from the boundaries of the site and with limited private amenity space, would create an unacceptable over-development of this relatively small site that would be out of keeping with the character of the area, and that would provide a poor living environment for future occupiers."
Brigg Town Council had also objected to this proposal.
Anyone refused planning consent by a local authority may, if they choose, lodge an appeal against the decision.
