MEET THE POLICE IN BRIGG & HAVE YOUR SAY
There's an opportunity coming up in Brigg town centre to talk to police face-to-face.
During Rural Crime Week, there's an open invitation to meet officers in the Angel Courtyard on Thursday, July 20, from 10am to 2pm.
Brigg Blog thinks one topic that might well be raised is the flouting of the laws relating to the pedestrian area.
Car and van drivers in this zone must be LOADING while cyclists must DISMOUNT.
That's what the signs say.
But these restrictions continue to be ignored.
Sorry as we were to report the recent closure of the HSBC bank branch in our town, it means one fewer cashpoint to drive right up to!
Shoppers in the town centre should not have to watch out for approaching vehicles and cycles being ridden at speed.
A few fixed penalties for offenders would deter many others.
