UPDATED: REPAIRING BRIGG POTHOLE ON HEAVILY USED ROAD

There are welcome signs that a pothole on a road used by scores of shoppers in Brigg every day is being repaired.
Brigg Blog has previously mentioned the deep hole on the bend in the access road to the B&M store and the Spring's Parade shops.
The problem was raised during the Annual Town Meeting on Monday and now there are some signs of action.
Brigg Blog took a look on Friday afternoon (yesterday) and stone filler  has been added to fill in much of the dip in the surface. Hopefully, this will be followed by a more permanent repair.
Coun Rob Waltham told the Annual Town Meeting that complaints about the pothole had been lodged with Andrew Percy, the Brigg & Goole MP, who had raised the issue with B&M and Tesco.
Coun Waltham said the suggestion was it would be sorted.
Town Mayor Coun Ann Eardley told the meeting that she was willing to go down and have a word.

UPDATE, NOON - SATURDAY: PLEASED TO REPORT THAT THE REPAIR HAS BEEN COMPLETED AND THE POTHOLE IS NO MORE. JUST A NEW PATCH OF TARMAC AND THE ROAD SURFACE IS LOOKING GOOD.
