North Lincolnshire Council is now considering an application seeking outline permission to erect eight dwellings with associated and ancillary infrastructure on land near Engine Street.
Chartered surveyor Howard Wroot, agent for the applicant, says in a statement accompanying the application that eight building plots are planned for "the former industrial site of an old Iron Works running parallel to a terrace of houses along Barnard Street."
He says this is "a cleared site" being flat and level "and has no physical constraints on development."
