PLEASE SUPPORT THE ADRIAN GIBBONS MEMORIAL FOOTBALL MATCH AT BRIGG TOWN FC

FROM JON TAYLOR

The Adrian Gibbons memorial football game will be held on Sunday 30th April at the Hawthorns, Brigg Town Football Club.
The game will be between two teams made up of players from Briggensians, AFC Brigg, ex-Briggensians, ex-Brigg Town and a couple of special guests.
The game is a 4pm kick-off - and 3pm meet - and all money raised will go to the British Heart Foundation.
We raised over £1,000 last year and it is hoped we will once again raise as much as possible.  There will be a raffle and if you would like to contribute to it please send all prizes to Brigg Town on the day.
There are already a large number of players who have expressed an interest in playing but if there is anyone else who is interested then please contact Jon Taylor.
The Scunthorpe United fixture kicks off at 12, so why not come and support the event after the game?
It is the Bank holiday weekend and many who knew Gibb will meet for a drink after the game.

N.F. ADDS: For the benefit of Brigg Blog readers living outside the area who may not have known Adrian, he was a very well-known local sportsman and teacher at Sir John Nelthorpe School, a devoted family man and a former pupil of Brigg Grammar School. He played football for a number of local teams including Brigg Town FC and  Briggensians in the TSW Printers Scunthorpe & District League.
