CAN THIS BE THE NEXT BRIGG PUBLIC FOOTPATH TO BE REPAIRED?

Most people in Brigg will  be very pleased to know that work’s going to start to create a wonderful footpath and cycle track all the way down the side of the River Ancholme to South Ferriby.
Once that's done, could  the stretch of riverside on Cadney Road, seen here, be next in line for attention?
Our pictures show that the clearly marked public footpath cannot be accessed near Candley Beck, due to thick foliage. The first 20 yards of the  path, from the white-painted railings, being overgrown, it’s necessary to use the adjoining road.
When the path does become walkable it’s not really in top condition. There is some hardcore underfoot – visible in places -  but grass has grown across considerable sections.
This is a shame, as this is a beautiful part of Brigg – undiscovered by many.
There’s even a public seat where you can sit and enjoy the scenery.
