Passing the Nelthorpe Arms (Scanlon's) pub in Brigg last night, with a gale blowing down Bridge Street, we glanced through a window and were delighted to see a coal fire burning in the grate.
There's nothing quite like a quiet pint beside a real fire. Unless, of course, you are the person charged with cleaning the grate, bringing in the coal and getting things lit.
