NEW BRIGG SHOP ANNOUNCES OPENING DATE

A new shop will be opening in Brigg town centre towards the end of this month, with the date now finalised.
Locally-based Jerry Green Dog Rescue is to launch its new fundraising charity shop in Springs Parade at lunch-time on Friday, November 29.
The date has been chosen to coincide with that night's Christmas lights switch-on and festive fair, when more than 1,000 people will be visiting the town centre from 4.30pm for several hours.
Pop in and take a look at the new shop if you are attending this event, and keep an eye out for bargain buys!
Having refurbished vacant former off-licence premises, Jerry Green Dog Rescue is now welcoming donations.
Suitable items include clothes (men's, women's and children's), books, CDs, linen, bric-a-brac, and toys with a CE mark, but NOT electrical goods.
If you have things to donate, kindly drop them off at the shop during daylight hours.
Volunteers willing to help in the new retail outlet are also welcome.
Denise Laughton - pictured above with some of the stock - kindly gave Brigg Blog a look inside the shop as it gets ready for business.
Jerry Green Dog Rescue will be hosting a Jingle Ball at the DoubleTree by Hilton Forest Pines Spa & Golf Resort, Ermine Street, Broughton, on Friday, December 13, from 7pm until late, with a festive-themed two-course dinner to enjoy.
Tickets cost £22 and can be obtained via www.jerrygreendogs.org.uk
Live entertainment will be provided by female vocalist Charlie Rose, and there will be a disco.
Humber Merchants are sponsoring this event and ALL money raised on the night will assist the charity's valued work in rescuing and re-homing stray and abandoned dogs.
