Brigg Amateur Operatic Society now stages its productions at Scunthorpe's Plowright - a venue named after famous Brigg-born actress Dame Joan (Lady Olivier).
However, for many decades its used Brigg Corn Exchange until that building was demolished when it switched to Vale of Ancholme School, now the Vale Academy.
Long-serving member Peter Bell compiled a wonderful book in 2003 about the society's history (front cover seen above).
Peter worked for the Lincolnshire Times newspaper in Brigg and played football for Brigg Town - on the old Brocklesby Ox ground - and hockey for Brigg until his late 50s.

COMING UP THIS WEEKEND...
Rob Jordan will be providing the music at the Woolpack Hotel in Brigg Market Place on Saturday, November 9, from 9pm. Free admission.
Entries for the next North Lincolnshire Music & Drama Festival can be submitted at a signing session on Saturday, November 9 at Brigg Library, in the Angel building off the Market Place, between 10am and 1pm.
