BBC ALLOTMENT CHALLENGE FINALIST COMING TO BRIGG

The next meeting of Brigg and District Gardening Club will take place on Thursday, December 5 at 7.30pm in the Methodist Church Hall in Brigg with an allotment expert paying a visit.
This will be the club's annual general meeting and members and officials will be welcoming Sandra Bright - a finalist on BBC Big Allotment Challenge - who will be doing a Christmas themed demonstration.

The club tells Brigg Blog: "We will be serving tea, coffee and mince pies and holding a Christmas raffle. Everyone is welcome; entry is free to members, £2 for guests, including refreshments."

For more information, contact Jill on 07545 781013.
The Methodist Church Hall is alongside the A18 on Barnard Avenue.
Brigg has two sets of allotments, off Grammar School Road and Redcombe Lane/Atherton Way - plots being rented out by the Town Council so people can grow their own fruit and veg.
The Grammar School Road site is being phased out to make way for re-development in this part of the town, with replacement plots to be created on Woodbine Park.
For information about leasing a plot on one of the sites, email the Town Clerk - enquiries@briggmarkettown.co.uk
