Barnetby will be playing Shape Changers as the division one season gets under way.
Kick-off at the Silver Street ground has been brought forward from then usual 3pm to 12.30pm.
In the programme notes, Barnetby United offer a warm welcome to Shape Changers, from Barton.
This will be the Shapers' first game in the top flight since winning promotion.
They met with great success last season, being undefeated division three champions and also winning the Ironstone and Nursing Cups.
The Scunthorpe Saturday League has only two sections for 2017/18 due to a reduction in the number of competing teams - sadly a sign of the sporting times we live in!
Sponsors of Barnetby United this year are Cube 3 Construction Ltd, painting contractor Tighe and the village's Whistle & Flute pub, whose newly-appointed landlady Julie Frankish is well-known in Brigg, particularly to those of us who were regulars at the Black Bull a few years ago (pre-Dexters) when she was on the bar staff.
In division two, there is no division two game for Briggensians today but Barnetby United Reserves visit New Holland.

Black and white stripey strips for both Brigg and Barnetby eh Nige...could be confusing!!
In real life, real zebras wear evolved black and white pyjamas as a protection against deadly flies. The reflective/unreflected (polarisation of light) confuses flying insects.
Interesting, eh Nige....nothing to do with footie unless the footie players have black & white strips to keep the flies away!
