Brigg Blog has been wondering about the number of entries for the annual Brigg 10k Poppy Race and and the accompanying Military Challenge.
We have inquired several times of different people over recent weeks, including during the social get-together that followed the parade to the Monument on August bank holiday Monday.
The organisers have now posted a message on the race's Facebook page, apologising for the delay in getting the online entry system under way.
They are also appealing for marshals to step forward and volunteer their services for a couple of hours on race day.
The event will be held on Sunday, October 29 and the route remains from Brigg to Cadney and back.
Up to 500 people can take part, the costing being £18.50p. Entries to be made online.
In addition to the traditional fun 10k there will be a Military Challenge in which the competitors carry kit on their backs to make the course more demanding!
On your marks and get set! This link takes you to the entries page.
Don't worry if you forget to save the link, or lose it, Brigg Blog will re-post once the online entry system is up and running. It won't be long now...

I was in the Air Force, Nige....the only time I ran is when the NAAFI nutty van appeared.
I had an unofficial time of 9.7 secs for a 100 yard sprint...not a bad time when wearing a parachute...
