PLAN TO BUILD NEW HOMES IN BRIGG DISCUSSED

Brigg Town Council is supporting plans to build five new homes on land to the west of Almond Grove. However, it wants assurances there will not be future surface water issues in this area.
Brigg Town Council's Planning & Environment Committee considered the latest application to build on the site when it met in the Angel Suite on Monday, April 29 - before the election.
Chairman Coun Mike Storey said his involved "fine detail" changes.
Coun Ann Eardley said some local residents were concerned about flooding.
Coun Storey said North Lincolnshire Council, as the planning authority, "will have been looking at that."
Brigg's Planning & Environment Committee decided it was still in support of  development as long as the concerns expressed were addressed.
North Lincolnshire Council planners will now make the final decision on the application to modify the design of the proposed dwellings.
The land earmarked for building is close to the Donkey Field play ground and the Atherton Way allotments.
